Lee Eun Sung, a graduate of a lesser-known medical school, applies for residency at Hwang Hee University Hospital, hoping to become a renowned cardiac specialist. However, he faces disdain from his colleagues. Nam Hye Suk, a top graduate and proud of her success, also applies and stands out as a star student. Dr. Choi Kang Gook, a brilliant but stubborn surgeon, becomes the new head of the department after a five-year exile. Despite initial rejection, both Lee Eun Sung and Nam Hye Suk are reluctantly accepted for residency. Meanwhile, actor Lee Dong Gwon, who has a past with Nam Hye Suk, is hospitalized for arrhythmia surgery, leading to a love triangle.
